You should have a look at this piece that Craig Thomas Wrote during the Stockton beach rally earlier in the year. It is on our website.

This website proposes that CTP costs could decrease. We need to ensure that CTP costs are not based on regulations that may be based on weight and size, but on real insurance costs. This could seriously affect 4wders.
The meeting held at Eastern Creek on February 17 was attended by the Minister Duncan Gay, RMS chiefs, and aftermarket industry leaders as well motoring enthusiasts which includes 4wders. The numbers attending were down on the meeting in 2012 but this reflected that fact that issues were not so desperate as the previous year.
We heard that our delegates on the safety committees are having constructive input into various regulations and ensuring that regulations are not being railroaded without consideration to motor enthusiasts such as 4wders..
It was good to see the presence of Duncan Gay once again and Alan Hay who is now running for a Federal Senate seat based on a motor enthusiasts platform.

The committee met again for the first time in nearly 12 months. This is a meeting between the Association and Senior members of National Parks, State Forests and Crown lands.
Reactivating this meeting allowed us to continue or introduce topics that such as
While there were a number of projects and issues raised the next meeting will indicate what can be achieved with this meeting.
The continuing focus is on getting some data and examples to put before land managers. Current focus is on a multi club classification of Caves to Caves and of Abercrombie River NP.
Part of our developing relationships with land managers has been some access to gated tracks to assist with track maintenance. While this is access carry out some volunteer work the groups from Triple Diamond, Blue Mountains and Sydney District are keen to volunteer their time in exchange for some limited access while working to gated tracks. We shall see how this develops.
Other activities have been some maintenance to Abercrombie River NP after being vandalised, clean-up day on Blacksmiths beach and dumped vehicle removal from Oberon area by Land Rover Owners Club.
Please make sure you put in the trip reports after you have visited a National park or State Forest.
These trip reports are very important to the land managers to fix problems and provide great credibility to the utility of having arrangement with 4wd clubs.
Date has now been set to 18 – 20 October 2013. The move of the date was to fit in with other events such as Bathurst and other 4wd shows in other states.
If you have a look on the forum there is a bit of discussion of a Jamboree for 2014. This is likely to more like a large gathering of clubs without competitions.
Peter Fenwick past president of NSW and ACT 4wd Association is now the President of the National Association.
