At the meeting held in Nerriga today, you should have seen a video specifically made to enthuse your club members to help on this project. It was not shown because it has not yet been edited. In the report to the meeting attached below, you will see a bar chart for the preliminary tasks. It is our way of keeping things going. We cannot wait until our November meeting to launch the video so our Executive will have to devise a means of distributing it ASAP.
Now I have to rely on readers and especially the delegates at Nerriga
to immediately rev up their club committees and make a commitment to actively drive this project forward.
Ron Owen and I have drafted a list of clubs most likely to be in it. Please print off a copy of the attached report, discuss it with your committee and if your club is willing to help, send an email to me at

, All I need is your name, Club name and zone you are happy to run trips in. You will be supplied with instructions so that all information provided will be provided in set tables so there will be no confusion. There are many clubs across the state and information must be collected so it will fit into our spreadsheets.
If your club is willing to run trips and supply the reports, materials will be supplied so you can choose a starting town, the route to the next stopover and the finishing town. All trips should be of at least a day in length. You can add bush camp sites, heritage features, lookouts and other places of interest along the route. It should be fun, and if part of the route is closed tell us exactly where is is blocked at both ends. I know that most clubs have a trips calendar and so these trips at this stage are probably going to be run in your 2016 program. Allow for a couple if you like running trips for a purpose.
For now I need commitments so I know who is helping and where. Once we start, I will be able to advertise any gaps along the bush highways we are putting together for further work by your club or others.

I'm getting a lot of interest by word of mouth about the project, but would appreciate reader responses on this thread from those I don't regularly speak with. It would please everybody to read some posts on this thread that we have had your support by alerting your club of the opportunity to participate.
