The support given so far has been good but confined to clubs from the Hunter region. This was very disappointing and in recent months I have done nothing because I felt that nobdy was interested in 4wd touring along the mountains of NSW.
We all know about some good places to visit.
Others like me, who have used fourbies for many years remember some great places which we currently can't get to.
Bush Highways can join these good places together to make touring in NSW great once more.
This will happen as soon as we start working together to join our combined knowlege into a 4WD touring guide.
Those who have done something so far have found it an enjoyable four wheeling exercise.
You don't have to learn anything, it's just a matter of planning a limited club trip and collecting information so that your trip can be understood easily by other clubs.
Some of my mates feel so passionate about this that they are going to visit other clubs to tell them how their surveys resulted in visiting tracks and campsites which are not used these days. Result? They had a great time and came back sold on the idea.
IT CAN BE DONE AND WE WILL SUCCEED IF WE WORK TOGETHER. The Australian Horse Alliance did the work a few years back and it is possible to leave Melbourne on horseback and end their trips at Cairns.
Come on members it's not onerous or drudgery. Quite the opposite rather, you will enjoy doing it. 2017 is coming. Tell me what you are going to do for us all in the coming year.

As a suggestion, may be we should have the club activities reported by the delegates at the quarterly meetings as an agenda item?
This may engender a greater level of activity.

We have enough difficulty getting clubs to submit track reports to Forestry and Parks.
A online magazine of club trips might be good.
