Even Months – Cape Hawk SLSC Odd Months – Taree Showground Tea Rooms Club started 26 years ago with the vision to explore the local bushland for four wheel driving, camping, social gatherings and sustainable safe use of four wheel drive vehicles. Training was a high priority. Those ideals are still the core principles of the club today. We are a relatively small club and are hoping the membership to be about 40 this year, 2012/2013. Meetings recently have had over 20 members and guests attending with most time spent on trip talk, past, next and future destinations. We have members who own competition trucks, road registered tough trucks to tackle the hardest tracks found in the bush, slightly modified vehicles for tracks and touring, stock vehicles and a few camper trailer owners who like to get off the beaten track. With the growing diversity, trips are being planned to suit the different needs. We have a guest policy for those wish to do an easy trip and see what we get up to, and all new members attend a training session before going on the more difficult trips. Safety is a priority!
